Biography

Colleen M. Abell is a certified nurse practitioner at the Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatric Surgery. Colleen earned a nursing degree at Salisbury University and a master's degree in nursing with a specialty in family medicine at Georgetown University.

Colleen has worked as a registered nurse at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Georgetown University, and Suburban Hospital before becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked in a walk-in minor care clinic practice as a Nurse Practitioner prior to joining the Bariatric team at Johns Hopkins.

She is excited to join the team at the Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatric Surgery. She hopes to not only be there for the patients as a clinician, but also as part of their support system.

As a certified nurse practitioner at the Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatric Surgery, she provides clinical support to the surgical team.
