Biography

Lauren Dimitrov, a Registered Dietitian in the Department of Clinical Nutrition, works with the Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatric Surgery. Lauren earned a dietetics degree from Florida State University and completed her dietetic internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She obtained her Master's Degree in Public Health at Florida International University.

Lauren has held various public health positions at the local, state, and national level in the areas of nutrition, tobacco control, and oral health.

As a registered dietitian at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, she provides nutrition counseling on the pre- and post-operative dietary guidelines, behavioral changes, and the dietary supplements that bariatric  patients will need following surgery for the rest of their lives.
