American College of Nutrition

ACN was established in 1959 to promote scientific endeavor in the field of nutritional sciences. The Web site includes message boards where current nutrition topics are discussed.

American College of Surgeons

The American College of Surgeons is a scientific and educational association of surgeons that was founded in 1913 to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient by setting high standards for surgical education and practice. The Web site provides public education services to patients with general information to help them make informed decisions about surgical care, and contains information on frequently performed surgical procedures. Sponsors a national advertising campaign to inform the public about selecting a surgeon who is trained and board-certified in an approved surgical specialty.
