Support Groups for Bariatric Surgery Patients

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offers monthly bariatric surgery support groups. These are open to pre- and post-op patients.

**Please be aware that there are NO support groups on the 4th or 5th Thursday of the month.** Click here to download a flyer with our support group schedule.

Bariatric Surgery Support Group
Support groups often feature speakers presenting on topics including exercise, nutrition, plastic surgery and more. Patients often bring clothes to the meeting for a clothing swap, protein supplements to try and lots of stories and good information. Pre-operative patients can gain insight on life after surgery. You're welcome to attend one or both meetings each month.

Please Mark Your Calendars! - December/January Support Group Changes
In December 2011, we will have one support group for the month. It will be our holiday party on Thursday, December 8, 2011. There will be NO support group on Thursday, December 15. In January 2012, there will be NO support group on Thursday, January 12. We will resume support groups on Thursday, January 19.

Parking is FREE and is located in the parking garage off of Mason F. Lord Drive. Enter through the blue awning at the Bayview Medical Offices (BMO) entrance. Registration is not required for support groups.
