The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Community Care-A-Van is a free, mobile medical unit staffed by Medical Center health care professionals.
Largely funded by Johns Hopkins Bayview, services provided by the Care-A-Van include primary medical care, immunizations, acute care, physicals and education on various health-related topics. Free testing for syphilis and HIV also is offered, as well as referrals for Women, Infants and Children (WIC).
A bilingual representative always is present on the Care-A-Van.
Who is eligible for services?
Services are targeted to uninsured children and their families who do not have a regular source of medical care. All services on the van are free of charge.
What do I need to bring with me?
When you come to the Community Care-A-Van, please bring any immunization records for your children being seen. We will also need demographic information on those being seen, including age, a current address, phone number, etc.
