Biography

Lucia Ponor, M.D. earned a medical degree from University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, Romania, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center / CWRU (Case Western Reserve School of Medicine), in Cleveland, Ohio. She joined CIMS as an Academic Hospitalist Fellow in 2010.

Lucia is a member of Society of Hospital Medicine, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.

She has a special interest in teaching medical residents, and gaining the required skills to become a leader in the field of Hospital Medicine. Lucia is interested in enhancing clinical excellence and quality of care for the hospitalized patients. She would also like to participate in designing curriculum for the Hospitalist Residency Tracks across the nation.
