Biography
Erica Howe, M.D., earned a medical degree at the University of Utah and completed a residency in internal medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans. During her residency, she conducted a study to investigate the diseases and medications that were seen and used most often in New Orleans clinics following Hurricane Katrina. Her findings helped relief organizations better tailor the donations sent to clinics following disasters. Dr. Howe also has presented original research, workshops and clinical vignettes at conferences for the Society of General Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Howe received awards for Intern of the Year and Resident of the Year during her residency training at Tulane. At the completion of her residency, she served as chief resident there prior to joining the CIMS team in 2008.
