Program Details

The Hopkins Bayview Dietetic Internship Program is a 42-week program, with a clinical emphasis, that will start in mid-August of each year. In addition to the scheduled rotations, classes to support learning are scheduled one day per week. Classes are conducted by clinical dietitians and managers, as well as a number of allied health professionals. Rotations include the following:

  • Orientation (2 weeks)

    Catering/Cafeteria/Retail
    Food Service Management
      
  • Community Rotations (4 weeks):
    Moveable Feast
    Program for the All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
    Childhood Nutrition
    Community Elective
      
  • Clinical Rotations (26 weeks):
    Burns
    Surgical
    Medical Critical Care
    Cardiology
    Neurology and Rehabilitation
    Renal Dialysis and Transplantation
    Renal/Oncology
    Parenteral Nutrition
    Clinical Management
    Pediatrics
    Maternal and Child Health
    Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care
    General Medicine
    Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center
