Suzanne Jan de Beur, M.D., director of endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Bayview and associate professor of endocrinology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/ metabolism, Dr. Jan de Beur focuses on metabolic bone diseases, such as osteoporosis and calcium disorders. She also is actively engaged in research.

Dr. Jan de Beur's clinic is located in the Metabolic Bone Center.

Assistant Professor of Molecular Endocrinology/Islet Biology

Máire Doyle, Ph.D., assistant professor of molecular endocrinology/islet biology is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Sanford Project funded basic science researcher who investigates the effects of endocannabinoids on the insulin secreting beta cell in the islets of Langerhans. In particular she is examining the potential for pharmacologic antagonism of the endocannabinoids as a beta cell regenerative therapy for type 1 diabetes.

Josephine Egan, M.B.B.S., associate professor of endocrinology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/metabolism.

In clinical practice, Dr. Egan focuses on caring for patients with diabetes mellitus. As chief of a diabetes research team with the National Institutes of Health, she also is actively engaged in research related to type 2 diabetes.

Jennifer Mammen, M.D., Ph.D.., Instructor in Endocrinology, is a member the Division of Endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/ metabolism, Dr. Mammen practices general endocrinology with a focus on thyroid, adrenal and pituitary disorders. She is actively engaged in research into the mechanisms of autoimmune endocrine disorders.

Associate Professor of Endocrinology

Myron Miller, M.D., associate professor of endocrinology and gerontology, is a member of both the Division of Endocrinology, and the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology/ metabolism and geriatric medicine, Dr. Miller practices all aspects of endocrinology and has special interests in pituitary disease, and fluid and electrolyte disorders.

Kendall Moseley, M.D., is a faculty member of the Division of Endocrinology and the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/ metabolism, Dr. Moseley practices general endocrinology with a focus on metabolic bone disease. She is actively engaged in research involving the relationship between type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and aging.

Dr. Moseley's clinic is located in the Metabolic Bone Center.

Medical Director, Metabolic Bone Center

Deborah Sellmeyer, M.D., medical director of the Johns Hopkins Metabolic Bone Center, earned a medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco.

Board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/ metabolism, Dr. Sellmeyer is an internationally recognized expert in osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. Currently, she is conducting research on the role of nutrition and environmental factors in bone health.

Dr. Sellmeyer's clinic is located in the Metabolic Bone Center.

Vanessa Walker Harris, M.D., is a faculty member of the Division of Endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/metabolism, Dr. Walker Harris practices general endocrinology, with a focus on metabolic bone disease. She is actively engaged in developing an inpatient hip fracture liaison service to provide osteoporosis care in the inpatient setting and continue that care in the clinic.

Certified Ambulatory Care Nurse

Deborah Dove, RN, BSN, a graduate of Towson University with a degree in nursing, is certified in ambulatory care nursing.

Dove is the contact for patients looking for information regarding prescription refills, lab results and general clinical questions. She also performs specialized clinical procedures.
