Associate Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Weinberg specializes in corneal and external disease, anterior segment surgery, uveitis, and refractive surgery. His special interests are in consultative ophthalmology, infectious diseases of the eye, and systemic diseases with ocular manifestations.
  

Saraswathy Ramanathan, M.D.
Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Ramanathan provides evaluation and care for most ocular diseases. She performs surgery, including cataract surgery, at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She also has a special interest in resident education and training, and has received multiple awards for resident teaching.
 

Karen Dunlap, O.D.
Instructor in Ophthalmology

Dr. Dunlap provides expert optometric services and specializes in the fitting and care of contact lenses.
 

Elia J. Duh, M.D.
Associate Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Duh specializes in the evaluation and treatment of diseases of the retina, including diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. He provides the latest laser and pharmaceutical treatments.
 

Nicholas T. Iliff, M.D.
Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Iliff specializes in the evaluation and treatment of diseases of the eyelids. A member of the Wilmer faculty since 1977, he performs surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
 

Sarah Anis, M.D.
Assistant/ASTP in Ophthalmology

Dr. Anis specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients with routine and complicated glaucoma.
 

Monica Blash Sheaffer, O.D.
Instructor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Sheaffer provides expert optometric services and specializes in the fitting and care of contact lenses.
 

Esen K. Akpek, M.D.
Associate Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Akpek provides care at the Jerome L. Greene Sjogren’s Syndrome Center at Johns Hopkins (founded in 2009 and located at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center). She also is director of the Ocular Surface Disease and Dry Eye Clinic (located at the Johns Hopkins Hospital). Dr. Akpek specializes in external diseases of the eye. Her clinical expertise includes inflammatory eye disorders, allergic and immunologic diseases of the cornea and the conjunctiva, scleritis, uveitis, cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and artificial corneal implantation.
 

Hee-Jung Park, M.D., MPH
Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology
