Celebrating 50 Years: The Gold Standard In Multidisciplinary Intensive Care

Celebrate the Golden Anniversary of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit—the first of its kind in the U.S.—Friday, September 26, at 8 a.m., in the Johns Hopkins Asthma & Allergy Center, located on the Johns Hopkins Bayview campus.

The day-long symposium will include:

  • Discussions on the past, present and future of ICUs;
  • The dedication of the papers of Peter Safar, M.D., founder of the first multidisciplinary ICU at Johns Hopkins Bayview and father of CPR; and
  • Keynote Safar lecturer, Joseph E. Parrillo, M.D., FCCM.
