The Center for Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins Bayview provides a full range of diagnostic, consultation, evaluation, treatment and prevention services for a wide variety of infectious disease-related problems. Aside from the treatment of general infectious diseases, our specialties include the diagnosis and management of skin and soft tissue infections, infections of prosthetic joints, wound infections, tropical diseases, and reproductive tract infections. All physicians are full-time faculty in the division of infectious disease at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Patients are seen in the outpatient clinic at the Bayview Medical Offices (BMO), a pleasant, patient-friendly environment, in which full-confidentiality is assured. If needed, a full range of laboratory, radiology and other hospital services are available on-site. In addition, the Center provides follow-up consultation and management for patients discharged with home IV antibiotics. Faculty and staff work closely with all local pharmacy and home care providers to assure the best diagnosis and treatment for each patient.
