Community Outreach, Education and Support

The multi-disciplinary staff at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Stroke Center provides community education sessions and outreach, and facilitates/coordinates support groups:

• Stroke Support Group:
  
  • Inch by Inch (410) 550-7793
    Third Thursday of every month, 7 p.m.
    Provides free education and support to stroke survivors and their families and caregivers
     
• Yearly public service visits to nursing homes and community centers to discuss stroke 
• Lectures to primary care doctors 
• Bi-monthly education of EMTs regarding stroke treatments
