Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is the first hospital in Maryland with a dual-room intraoperative CT scanner and image-guided surgery system for neurosurgery. This technology combination will become the standard of care for imaging, safety and quality of surgery. The intraoperative CT (iCT) and image-guided surgery system create unmatched surgical vision and precision, allowing surgeons to see things others can’t see during complex brain, spine and trauma surgeries. All images from the iCT are available in real time to the surgeon and operating room team. This surgical navigation system provides the highest level of accuracy for image guided surgery.
ICT technology, combined with the caring and knowledgeable nurses, physicians and staff on the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit, brings patients from around the world to Johns Hopkins Bayview.
