January 1, 2006 On New Year's day, all the Baltimore news stations paid a special visit to the first baby born in the Baltimore area in 2006. Baby Jacob Briscoe is already the adorable famous face at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Jeff Briscoe and Tyesha Green, Jacob's parents, were excited about the coverage, but were really happy and grateful that their new baby was healthy. "It's such a great way to ring in the New Year, it's fun, it's been a long time since we had a New Year's baby, so it gets everybody excited, it gets everybody happy," said Eileen Rizzo, RN. "You better believe that we were on the phone at 12:15 calling GBMC, calling St. Joe's, and other hospitals--it's a little bit of an honor. It might be silly to some people but it's fun to us." Jacob is Green's third child. All three of her children have been born at Hopkins Bayview. |
