F. Michael Gloth III, M.D., appointed director of outpatient services for the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
In addition to his position at Johns Hopkins Bayview, Dr. Gloth also serves as medical director at various Maryland-area nursing homes.
He received a medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. After completing a residency in internal medicine at The Union Memorial Hospital, Dr. Gloth finished a fellowship in geriatric medicine and gerontology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
A fellow in both the American College Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society, his research has been included in numerous publications, such as the Journal of the American Medical Association and the Annals of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Gloth’s clinical interests include pain relief management in older adults and metabolic bone diseases, such as osteoporosis.
