Amina Burthey has been appointed administrative director of cardiology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. In this position, she will be responsible for growing the cardiology practice, improving access to care for patients, and maintaining the Division of Cardiology’s focus on patient safety and service excellence.
Burthey brings more than 10 years of management and leadership experience to this role. Most recently, she served as assistant administrator for geriatric medicine and gerontology within the department of medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview.
Burthey earned her bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in psychology and her master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan.
