(May 17, 2005) Each year, residents from all residency programs in internal medicine around the state gather to present their research and scholarly activity at the annual American College of Physicians Associates Meeting. Once again, Hopkins Bayview will be well represented at this year's meeting, which will take place on Thursday, May 19, at the Alagia Auditorium at St. Agnes Medical Center in Baltimore. Hopkins Bayview residents will feature five scientific research presentations. Dr. Ghazaleh Aram and Dr. Amit Golding will each present a poster of their scientific research while Dr. Emmanuel Antonarakis will present two research posters. Dr. Valeriani Bead will deliver an oral presentation of his work on racial differences in response to beta blocker therapy in heart failure. Also, Hopkins Bayview residents will feature five clinical vignette presentations. Dr. Bolanle Asuni, Dr. Seema Nour, Dr. Michael Eberlein and Dr. Mitesh Desai will each present a poster of a particularly interesting clinical vignette. Dr. Emmanuel Antonarakis will deliver an oral presentation of his clinical vignette on myocarditis due to Legionnaire's disease. Please join Hopkins Bayview in congratulating all house staff members and their faculty mentors who contributed to this effort. What's New Index
