 Laurene Mackel Appointed as Director of Patient RelationsLaurene Mackel, LCSW-C, Ed.D., has been appointed as director of patient relations at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. A Maryland licensed certified social worker, Mackel has worked as director of social work at the Care Center at Hopkins Bayview for 16 years. Mackel earned a degree in social work at Tuskegee University and pursued a graduate degree at St. Louis University. She also earned a doctorate in Christian education at Logos International Bible College in Baltimore.
Mackel will begin her new position on May 30, 2005. As director, she will oversee the patient relations department, volunteer services, interpreter services and pastoral care services.
Mackel resides in Randallstown, MD. |
