Passano Foundation Chooses Andrew Mammen, M.D., Ph.D., for Passano Physician Scientist Award

The department of neurology is pleased to announce that the Passano Foundation has chosen Andrew Mammen, M.D., Ph.D., for the Passano Physician Scientist Award. The School of Medicine Clinician Scientist Award Committee awarded Dr. Mammen one of seven salary grants for the fall 2006 cycle, for his project entitled "The Role of the Dermatomyositis Autoantigen Mi-2 in Muscle Regeneration."

The Passano Foundation recognizes a limited number of young scientists each year whose work, though in the early stages, already contributes to scientific research.
