Christopher J. Earley, M.B., B.Ch., Ph.D., FRCPIChristopher J. Earley, M.B., B.Ch., Ph.D., FRCPI, associate professor of neurology, was named fellow of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

The mission of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is to develop and maintain high professional standards in specialist medical practice in order to achieve optimum patient care and promote health on a national and international basis. Some memberships to the college are given on an honorary basis; however, Dr. Earley attained membership via examination. He has been a member for several years.

The fellowship is a high honor for physicians in Ireland, and even more so for physicians not practicing there. Fellows are nominated based on their distinguished reputation in the practice of medicine or the pursuit of medical science, general science or literature.
