Program Details

During the 18-month MSPH/RD program, students complete ten months of graduate course work, followed by a 36-week practicum. Students must complete all requirements within four calendar years from the date of first registration to the graduate school.

The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) follows a quarter system. The academic calendar is available on the university Web site.
 

Dietetics Practicum

Following completion of the MSPH/RD coursework, students will complete a dietetics practicum. During the practicum, students conduct practice rotations in areas of clinical nutrition, food service and community nutrition, as well as a ten-week public health rotation. Rotations may include the following:

    Production and Purchasing
    Catering/Cafeteria/Retail
     
  • Public Health (12 weeks)
     
  • Vacation (2 weeks)
    Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays
