  Tope Alaofin, MS, CNM, earned a degree in midwifery at the Parkland School of
  Midwifery, affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in
  Dallas, TX. She also earned a master's degree at Texas Woman's University.

  A certified nurse midwife, Alaofin has several years of experience in women's 
  health care, particularly in midwifery. Before joining Johns Hopkins Bayview, she
  served as a midwife at the Maternity Center in Bethesda, MD, as well as the
  Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, TX.
