Advancing orthopaedic technology through instrument development and surgical innovation Advancing orthpaedic technology The International Center for Orthopaedic Advancement serves as a conduit to orthopaedic innovation by bringing together high-caliber engineers and clinicians in one location. By combining a surgical dissection suite and instrument development lab, (containing materials-testing equipment with the latest computer controllers), the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery opens the door to a unique opportunity for advancement in surgical techniques and orthopaedic implants. The Center consists of six surgical stations, as well as facilities management for cadaver tissue. The space has an airy feel with excellent natural light, high ceilings and a wonderful view. It also boasts a large conference room and state-of-the-art projection systems. What's more, the facility meets all operating room ventilation requirements and has a locker room and shower area. The Center easily accommodates more than 20 surgeons who can learn in an atmosphere where individual attention is key.
