We practice a Mother-Baby Care model, in which stable newborns may room-in 24 hours per day with their mothers. Nurses trained in this model provide both post-partum care to mothers and regular newborn care to their infants.
 
Nurse practitioners support the pediatricians' care of newborns. Consultations and immediate back-up are available from neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners, with intermediate and intensive care nurseries adjacent to the Mother Baby Unit.
