Physician Assistant rotations in inpatient pediatrics are made available through the Physician Assistant Program at Essex Community College. Students in their second year of training may participate in ongoing care of pediatric patients on an inpatient floor, with care ranging from newborn care, treatment of asthma, dehydration, and other pediatric inpatient problems to pediatric burn care in conjunction with staff from the Baltimore Regional Burn Center.

Clinical instruction is provided primarily by Physician Assistants, with additional instruction from pediatricians and pediatric nurses.
