The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Pediatric Inpatient Unit offers a 14 bed unit for general pediatric problems, post-surgical, and burn care, as well as a Pediatric Short Stay Unit, coordinated through an in-house pediatrician (24 hour coverage). Nursing care is provided by a staff of experienced pediatric nurses. Coordination of discharge care is performed by Physician Assistants with help from Social Workers and Utilization Managers as required.
