Weight Loss Surgery

Weight loss surgery, also called bariatric surgery, can improve your quality of life and obesity-related health conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis and sleep disorders, to name a few. Our information sessions are geared towards people who meet the criteria for weight loss surgery. This includes people who:

  • Are 100 pounds or more overweight;
  • Have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or greater;
  • Have a BMI between 35 and 40 and are experiencing severe negative health effects as a result of being overweight;
  • Have struggled with their weight and have not had lasting weight loss success through diet and exercise.

Participants will learn about the different weight loss procedures offered, such as the Roux-en Y gastric bypass. The session also provides information about navigating the insurance approval process.

Friends and family members are welcome to attend.
