Biography
Dariush Elahi, Ph.D., professor of surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, earned a master's of science degree in biology at American University in Washington, D.C. After earning a doctorate in physiology at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in physiology at Louisiana State University Medical Center.
Known across the country for his research, Elahi has received academic appointments at several prestigious institutions and lent his knowledge at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Institutes on Aging for over 30 years. He is an expert in the fields of gerontology, clinical physiology, endocrinology and glucose metabolism.
