Biography Stephen M. Milner, M.D., FACS, professor of plastic surgery at The Johns
Hopkins University School of Medicine, director of the Johns Hopkins Burn
Center and surgical director of the Johns Hopkins Wound Center, is a diplomat
of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. After earning medical and dental
degrees at the University of London, he completed a residency in general
surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Milner also served in the British Army as a lieutenant colonel during Operation
Desert Storm. Subesequently, he undertook research at the Chemical and
Biological Defence Establishment in Porton Down, England. Before joining Johns Hopkins, Milner completed a residency in plastic
surgery, as well as a fellowship in burn research, at the Shriners' Burn
Institute in Galeston. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Milner has written over 70
publications and is founding editor of the Journal of Burns and Wounds. |
